Does anyone remember which shows were performed at the Virginia theater prior to Little Women? I think Little Shop was there, but I don't remember any shows before it---and I know I was there---I just can't remember the shows. (help---they're all starting to run together in my head-----oooooh!) :)

Yes, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS was there before LITTLE WOMEN. I know the Bill Maher had a solo show there, too. Other shows at the Virginia:
FLOWER DRUM SONG - Revival
THE CRUCIBLE - Revival
THE WILD PARTY
SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE
MY FAIR LADY - Revival
JELLY'S LAST JAM
SHENANDOAH - Revival

Check out ibdb.com for every show to have played the Virginia.

Flower Drum Song (revival) was there before LSOH.

i think it's interesting that they've already had two shows with the word "little" in the title

Not only that both shows have/had 'little' in their titles (LITTLE shop & LITTLE women), Their leads both have the same last name FOSTER. re: The Virginia Theater

That's because they are brother and sister, which makes it even weirder!!

Is "weirder" a word? LOL

I actually thought of that as well, Margo. That would be kind of cool.

The Virginia began as the Guild Theatre, built by the Theatre Guild when it was in its heyday. Its first production was Caesar and Cleopatra with Claude Rains and helen Hayes.

Every movement has a meaning--but what the hell does it mean!
