I wasn't meaning the words "Want of a Nail" comes from the pop singer. I was saying the song that they sing was written by Todd Rundren. Sorry for any confusion
anyone who owns the CAMP soundtrack knows that Idina Menzel sings background on "The Want of a Nail"...it's printed right there on the liner notes.
ooops - sorry Spider.

Um, I think another funny part is at the very beginning when Fritzi greets Jill and Jill has no idea who Fritzi is and Fritzi responds, "We were in night, Mother together."
I didn't get that the first time I saw it until someone pointed out to me that nM is a two person show.
My absolute favorite part of CAMP is Ladies Who Lunch.
"Oh save the speech, Rummy. She's f****d, I'm ready, and the g*ddamn show must go on."
I wanna be Anna Kendrick when I grow up.

It says that 'Aisha Dehaas and Idina Mezel provide additional vocals on tracks 1 and 5' which would be 'How Shall I See You Through My Tears' and 'The Want of a Nail'. Never knew that before...

Ooh tough question...not sure what my fave musical number was. These kids were so talented. I guess I'd have to say "How Shall I See You"...but I also loved Joanna Chilcoat singing "And I Am Telling You" to the seven year old kid in Dreamgirls. lol. She has quite a voice--wish we heard more of it in the movie.
But I know what you mean about "Turkey Lurkey"--I watched that part of the DVD three times. Throughly enjoyable! By the way, I recently recognized Alana Allen--the lead in that number--was just on VH1's shlocky "New Partridge Family" auditions (for Laurie). She had the best voice out of the final three but was eliminated, of course. Ah, screw VH1.
Did anybody see Sasha Allen on the American Idol knockoff show Born To Diva?
And I thought the girl who sung AITY was horrible. I thought that she was supposed to be?

Thetruth, really? I thought she sounded amazing! In the preceding (hilarious) scene, the two campers (in full costume with beards and sidecurls) were complaining after being cast in Fiddler on the Roof that there were no plays being staged with central African American characters. Cut to the white girl singing Jennifer Holliday's song to the little kid. lol.
By the way, I do remember your gal Tamyra's rendition of that song on American idol and she was excellent.
