I'v been curious about these similarly-titled novels, as both have been adapted for the stage. Has anyone read either or both? What are your impressions? Would you recommend the books?

I was also wondering about these two.

I haven't read the woman in white, but I was in the woman in black...as the woman in black..best part I ever had..no lines to remember..whoo!!
Anyways, the woman in black is a horror/mystery type play, basically what happens is that this guy in in a theatre and he's talking to a playwright, who tells him all these stories about how everyone who sees the woman in black dies..then at the end, the guy in the theatre sees her....doo doo doo!!!

Was that a fat joke?

I actually am familiar with the stage adaptations, but was wondering if anyone had any opinions regarding the novels that served as the source material.
