Definitely at the Minskoff, not the Marquis, though I suppose that could change, but the reason The Minskoff was selected was because they felt its the theatre that the projections would work best in.
Supposedly, Crawford is not returning. Some site health concerns, some backstage difficulty, but I think its safe to say a Broadway run for him as Fosco is out of the question, which is a shame, because he was terrific in the part, and it would redeam him in NYC from DANCE OF THE VAMPS.

When I saw the show in London and talked to one of the creative staff, they said the producers secured the Marquis Theatre, as they said "The one in the Hotel"

While it would be nice for Mr. Crawford if he were to come to the U.S. with WIW, and I wish him well, I really do think that if Michael Ball comes over in the role the audience will be getting the better performance; he really was wonderful in the part.

I saw WIW last year with Michael Crawford in the role and while I'm not a huge fan of the show, I'd love to see what Michael Ball can do with the part. And if he's in it on this side of the pond, that's even better! Though I'm almost always up for a trip to London...

Unfortunately, AUtahFan, Michael Ball's final performance as Count Fosco was last Saturday, April 30. Anthony Andrews is currently playing the part.

Right. I meant if he's asked to reprise his role in Chicago or on Broadway.

They need to ge Michael Ball back in the theater...
Although, I have been listening to Stig Rossen and he would be a great choice vocally.

Wow The Minskoff + Andrew Lloyd Webber + Mandy Patinkin is not exactly a great recipe for critical success.
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

I'll definitely go along with that, CDuffy5062 !!
He was wonderful and so right for the role - and his voice does full justice to Count Fosco's Italian accent and Neapolitan-sounding timbre!
