There is a new movie coming in October, a trailer of which has been shown on ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT.
Just look at the cast --
*Hugh Jackman (Oklahoma! and The Boy from Oz)
*Christian Bale ( Newsies)
*David Bowie ( yeah!)
*Scarlett Johansson ( also known to sing very well, originally rumored for the Maria role in the London revival of SOUND OF MUSIC)
I don't know if the rest can sing, but they are also impressive names --
Michael Caine
Andy Serkis
Piper Perabo
I forgot, but --
Daniel Davis ( La Cage Aux Folles revival) is also in there.
Hey, with such a cast -- why couldn't they have made a musical of the movie ( actually a suspense thriller about duelling magicians at the turn-of-the-20th-Century London)???
Or maybe musicalize it for the stage?

Because it is one convoluted, boring story.
