The sound design for SOUTH PACIFIC

This year will be the first year that a Tony is awarded in the category of sound design. For musical I hope the winner will be Scott Lehrer. His design for SOUTH PACIFIC is the best I've heard in many years.

I have no doubts that he'll win. It's brilliant, because you don't even know it's miked. Very natural sound, and not at all over-amplified (Passing Strange, take note).
