Theater Management is usually the business side of theater: payroll, budgets, marketing, tickets, fundraising
Theater Production is usually the technical aspects of putting on a show: stage management, set building, costumes, lighting, etc.

Goth is correct (I NEVER though I would say that
)
To repeat--Production is the actual show stuff. Management is the business stuff.

Just to add my two cents... I was looking at the Brown website, and they have 'Theatre Management', but with an emphasis on Stage Management. I definately want to go to college for SOMETHING with theatre, not for acting though. I got myself a book on Stage Management, so I'm going to read through that and see what happens. Wheee.

Well just remember that regional theatres and Broadway, etc have many jobs for non-actor, non-directors, non-designers etc.
There's Finance, Marketing (which includes graphic design and web design), Publicity, Development (grants, donations, etc), Education & Community Outreach, Box Office, Group Sales, Human Resources and various receptionist and office assistant jobs.
Some of the people that fill these roles are theatre fans and some come from the business world.
