Theatre 1 at New World Theatres...

My friend's sister ushers at the New World Theatre (which used to be Dodger Stages)and told me that there's a show about Jesus rehearsing in theatre one there. I called and they aren't selling tickets at the theatre, and there's no information on it that I can find, and it's supposed to open before Easter. Does anyone know anything about this? If so, my family is visiting me for Easter and I'd like to take them...I'm not sure how else to find out about it, and I'm really curious.

Not sure. What shows are currently playing at the New World Theaters? Seems like it doesn't have anything running.

Altar Boyz, Drumstruck, Naked Boys Singing, and SIDD (although I just read the press release that SIDD is closing next week).

FYI, I finally got some info on this show I heard about, from the box office at the theatre. It's called "For Christ's Sake", and the website says it's "a contemporary telling of the story of Jesus the man."
The box office at New World Theatres isn't selling tickets because of an agreement the show has made with Equity to be non-profit. You can get a phone number from the website, www.forchristssakethemusical.com, to get tickets, and it looks like you're supposed to be able to buy tickets online, but the date for that starting was the 21st (yesterday) and it isn't up yet.
The website doesn't say anything about who's putting the show on, so if anyone knows anything...

FYI part 2, they just posted cast headshots and bios on the website! There really is a show at theatre 1, see!

Yes, all of that information is correct. No shows on Sundays, though, because of a worship service.

Are they doing the worship service in the theatre? That's so cool if they are. Whose leading it, and whats the Easter Sunday schedule?
