Having been in the Gershwin last week seeing Wicked. While browsing the Theatre Hall of Fame Inductees, was quite surprised by who is not listed: Here are some of my suggestions:
Antoinette Perry
Carole Shelley
Tom Aldredge
George Rose
Glenn Close
James Mitchell
George S. Irving
Albert Wolsky
Helen Gallagher

James Mitchell would be a terrific choice, even if many people now probably associate him mainly with Palmer on All My Children (not a bad association IMHO). It's always a bit too bad when it happens posthumously, but better late than never.
I'm surprised Gallagher hasn't been picked yet. She's perhaps known more for her soap work now too--I loved when Rosie O would bring her back on each St Patrick's Day to sing Danny Boy like she used to do on Ryan's Hope during it's 14 year run. But she really was a pretty major name on stage back in the day--I know Sweet Charity had a LOT of publicity about her return to the stage.
