Ok, I've seen a lot of you use this word on here to describe certain shows, but I never really understood what it meant. So, what does 'camp' mean?

Pardon my stupidity.

It's like over the top, vulgar, affected acting, usually to play up comedy.

Well, bad camp is vulgar and over the top. Camp, at its best, like with a Little Mary Sunshine or Dames at Sea or the original production of Little Shop of Horrors, can be more of a knowing wink, a certain self-aware quality of a genre being affectionately mocked for laughs. In the best camp, the actors play it straight, and the laughs come from audience recognition of cliches or performance styles represented.
