In the 1980s on either hbo or showtime there was a theatrical play where group of family members gather to hear the recorded will of dead grandfather. Coming from a portrait on wall.As the night progresses one by one they are killed. Can anyone tell how to find it?

Could the play have been “Where There’s A Will There’s A Murder”? The plot you’re describing is quite similar.

Seems close but one I looking for came out on cable in 80s. Was set in the 60-80s based on what remember from clothes.
