re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Things I like and don't like

Once and for all, let me clear two things up.

First, Barbra carried the role off vocally only. Acting, she was all over the map in her characterization. She went from Mae West to old Jewish matchmaker, sometimes in the same scene. However, vocally, she was at the top of her game.

Secondly, yes I am PJ's biological father. I can't remember his mother's name-afterall I was stinking drunk but I do remember this person liked to listen to Carol Channing while having sex and often shouted out the names of all the famous people she'd slept with...

Things I like:

Good theatre
Good movies
Good books
Good sleep

Things I don't like:
The astonishing absence of correct spelling in so many of the postings on these message boards. The occasional typo is one thing, but come on...

Dear PJ--

Are you trying to make disparaging remarks about me? I am "smart" (I hold an MA in Victorian Literature) and one would assume that every part of my anatomy shares in my acute intelligence. Therefore, your reference to a "smart ass" may indeed apply to me.

Dear Albin--

I think you are trying to crudely imply that I am PJ's biological mother. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Yes, I do like to listen to Carol Channing recordings during my more intimate moments, but you and I have NEVER had a tryst. Remember, I am far too discriminating to stoop to a creature as low as you.

No, as I recall it, PJ is the fruit of your one night liason with DiannaBancroft. You remember Dianna, don't you? She was a charter member of the "Surgery of the Month Club". When last I heard, she had so many surgical scars that she looked like a zipper!

Ah, poor Dianna!

PJ, you have to realize that everyone in this world isn't going to fall over you with adulation everytime you post another message.

The fact of the matter is, I don't dislike you. However you phrase things in such an immature and inane manner that you make yourself a target for levity. I mean, really--that thread about buying tickets for GYPSY became a laugh riot. You should be able to make your own decision about purchasing theater tickets. So what if your seat location wasn't the best in the world? Roll with the punches. I've paid good money for theater tickets and had the performance ruined by the woman next to me who smelled of hard boiled eggs! It wasn't the end of the world.

PJ, you're probably a very nice kid. Work on improving your writing skills and you won't become prey for my ascerbic barbs.
'Til then, watch out!

Another thing I don't like:
How a fun and generic topic can turn into a personal conversation between 2 or 3 people; leaving others to feel awekward if they post...though I have been guilty of doing that myself (making it a personal conversation I mean). re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Things I like and don't like

re: Things I like and don't like

Bling blings are those cumbersome silver chains that my ghetto rats wear around their necks. Often they have a crucifix or a marijuana leaf attached (what's the relationship?) and they are far more important to these kids than decent grades or intellectual curiosity. Oh, I take that back. Maybe their doo rags are more important.
