I saw FAME this evening. Nicole Leach is awesome. She would make a great Mimi in RENT. I also thought Sara Schmidt who played Penny Pingleton, I mean Serena Katz was very good along with Christopher J. Hanke as Nick Piazza. He's very innocent looking and has a cool haircut. And funny, on the way home, I saw Gavin Creel!! HAHA Shakiem Evans was awesome as Tyrone Jackson. Great dancer and amazing body. He really impressed me. I hope he goes far. Cheryl Freeman and Nancy Hess made great teachers and have wonderful voices. I would recommend seeing this show. The Little Shubert was rockin', especially during the finale.

I had fun too at FAME, I loved the cast's energy. I sang at a benefit a few months back and Shakiem Evans was there and was so complimentary afterwards, I wish him the best also!

I like Fame a lot. I'm directing our college's production of it in December, so I'd better like it..

The UK website is pretty cool, very well designed.. www.famethemusical.co.uk

Does anyone know how FAME is doing at the box office? Like do you think it is going to close anytime soon? I wish they had the box office weekly records for off-broadway shows somewhere on this net.

Ok - I'm gonna show my complete ignorance on this topic - but what does the subject line have to do with the show? "Think of Meryl Streep"...is it a line from the play? movie?

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Phantom2 - I respect your opinion and I'm glad you've found a show you like - but I have spoken to a lot of people in the business who are closer to my age who really hated the show - so I think I'll follow my gut instinct on this one and skip it - though I may listen to the cd at some point if Joey has it...
