Thirteen Shows in Eight Days---A Broadway Marathon

Okay, it's almost over. At 8:00 tonight (in little over an hour) I'll have officially seen 13 shows in 8 days--12 on Broadway and 1 off-Broadway. It was certainly a mixed bag, with some a not so great and some amazing performances. I'll show my thoughts on all the shows when I have some more time, but I just wanted to start a thread to get the ball rolling. Last Saturday I arrived to town at 6:00 a.m. At 2:00 I saw Grey Gardens (loved it--more later), at 6:00 pm I saw Naked Boys Singing (hated it--more later), at 8:00-Tarzan (mixed-to-negative reaction, but, of course, more later). Sunday: Butley, and then Angela Lansbury and Harriet Harris in a benefit--the subject was Dorothy Parker (but of course, more later). Monday: A Chorus Line, Tuesday: Mary Poppins, Wednesday: Drowsy Chaperone and Jersey Boys; Thursday: The Color Purple; Friday: Les Mis; Saturday: Company and (coming up) Little Dog Lauged. I'm coming away with a lot more love for an old favorite, a little less love for a favorite I saw last year, and a list that includes three must-sees; three see-if-you-cans; one-you should have seen it before it changed; two-see if it's cheaper; one-see if it's free; one-see when the hype dies down; and one "man is that thing tired." But, of course, more later.

Ah! That would be overwhelming for me personally, but hey with limited time you do what you have to do. How much did this all cost? Because most of theses shows aren’t exactly on the tkts line but even then! More power to ya!
