This is the last night for "Some Girls"

Posted: 7/8/06 at 10:41pmDid anyone see it? I was standing outside again today and I was hoping to get a picture with Eric Mccormack. He bolted out the door again, but everyone else stayed. He seems like he's not very friendly at all. I thought Judy and Fran seemed the nicest.

My sister and I were at the matinee. We both loved the show. I have to say that I agree with other reviews that have been posted for the most part . . . I didn't think that Eric was too stuck in Will mode, but there were definite moments where Will slipped in there. I definitely enjoyed Maura's performance the most, but as an avid ER fan I was partial to her before I even walked in the door.
Now, not to talk more about the stage door than the show, but since that is what was being talked about in the original post . . . Judy Reyes stuck her head out the main door, then went back in. Brooke Smith and Maura Tierney came out the stage door together, ducked and bolted before anyone even realized it was them. A few minutes later Judy came back out the stage door. Got caught and signed a couple of autographs, then bolted. Fran Drescher came out the door to the right and stayed long enough for Eric to bolt out the stage door on the left. Signed some autographs and posed for some pics, then left but was very nice about it thanking everyone for coming and saying she had to go.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Yeah, I just re-read that and realized it sounded like I was complaining . . . honestly while I would have loved to meet each and every one of them, I was more amused by the whole thing than anything else. I loved the show and was so happy to have gotten to see it that for all I care they could never have come out at all . . . I actually admire the way some of them ducked out . . . it was so quick you didn't even know it was happening!
I know it seemed like I put more emphasis on the stage door part of the show but that is only because (a) that is what the original topic was about and (b) I felt like I couldn't really add much to what others have posted about the show. Meeting them would have been the icing on the cake but hey--it was their last day and they still had to come back for another show. I probably would have bolted too!

Actually, Mr. McCormack was quite pleasant when I was there (the first preview). Sadly, people were literally pushing and shoving each other (and the actors) trying to get a piece of them.
If the cast seemed to get out of there quickly, it's because it's been a zoo. Nice to see that apparently they stepped up some form of crowd control (initially absent).
