Thoughts on Tracie Thoms

So what are some of your reviews on Tracie Thoms as Joanne in RENT? We all know she rocked out the movie role, but how does she compare on stage? Does she still just belt it all out?

I didn't like her. Inexplicably, I found her too stagey. Maybe that means she's good in the show.

I saw Tracie on her first day (second show) and I was extremely impressed with how solid her characterization was already. I thought she had great chemistry with Eden, and vocally she was amazing (TMOLM was fierce with those two!) Overall, I though Tracie's acting was spot on, and I'm glad I'll get to see her again in a few weeks.

I thought she was amazing. The show is greatly improved with little additions like Thoms from the film and Gwen Stewart from the original cast. It all just sounds better. Plus her chemistry with Eden, and the cast as a whole, made the entire show a treat.

Well, judging from this, she's FIERCE.

I think they both sound so amazing,wish I could see this cast.
