Three pigs Into the Woods

I have seen the recorded original Broadway one and one in SF this year. A friend of mine told that the three pigs were written into the woods but deleted before the broadway run. She told me they had a subplot. Does anyone know what the plot was?

For a 10-second gag in the revival, they made a brief appearance on stage... No subplot. Don't know about it prior to workshops, though.

I remember reading that they did have a larger role in the out of town try out. Try using the search feature, I know it's been discussed here before and somewhat recently.
