1) Zanna, Dont! Why? I thought this was doing well. Everyone was in love with this show. I personally never saw it, or knew much about it, but I was suprised when I saw this on playbill com.
2)La Boheme- I havent seen this show, but I was not in the least suprised to see it going. From what I saw on the tonys, this show needed to go. This may be because I'm no opera fan, but the tony performance was a mess, and its no wonder why the show did poorly afterwards.
3)Wicked- this is stopping performances in San Francisco. It's coming to New York to start previews on OCtober 7th! WOOHOO! I'm practically dying. Also, why would they start previews? Wasnt their preview period in California?

Wicked -- out of toen previews don't mean that they won't preview on Bway. Every show has a preview on Bway. They still have changes to make -- New York audiences are tough. AND the NY critics have to see it before it opens.

They're adding and changing songs.
More material for NLB :)
So sad that Wicked's SF run ended today...I'm going to go sob quietly in the corner.
Oh I hope they give Norbert even more material! I saw the show a couple weeks ago and was just floored by how wonderful and captivating he is on stage. And who knew he could dance?! The whole production was fabulous and I cannot WAIT to see what changes they make to make it even stronger.
From what I've read, "Wicked" is already almost 3 hours long. It seems like they'll need to cut material to make it a little easier for people to deal sit through (especially older ladies!). It's all in how they do that, though. Maybe Norbert will get some more material. :)

Yes, they have already cut about 15 minutes. They are feverishly working on it.
Zanna Don't was excellent. I was surprised it didn't succeed. La Boheme was incredible...one of the most beautifully designed and inspiring shows I've ever seen.

The problem with Zanna was that it was a BIG show for a theatre of that size and being off-broadway, didn't have the publicity to bring the audience it needed to.

One doesn't say that a production is "stopping performances today". One says the productions "closed today". Learn the jargon so you can sound more astute.
Okay, now get out your notebook and write the phrase the play closed today" twenty times.
If you're good, I'll let you take a peak at what Albin keeps under his hairpiece!
I didn't say that, sir, because Wicked hasn't closed, per say. Yes, it closed in San Francisco, but it's opening again in New York soon. I suppose I did use the wrong phrasing. I apologize.

Again I am impressed with the grace you display whenever you are criticized. Are you sure you're a kid?
