I know I always hear a lot of talk about getting tickets for cheap or even free for some newer shows, more specifically hearing first about them when Sweeney came out. How would one attain such things and if so, would Threepenny Opera be giving any?
Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question, I just have 0 experience with that stuff.

Comp(limentary) tickets are available to industry members and professionals, and also friends of the production.
You have to know someone, and in most cases, 3 or 4 people.
They are usually given to people during previews, especially critic's performances, to make the house a little more active and attentive.
