In our fun and informative chat last night (Saturday) a few of you asked for more info on the production of THE THREEPENNY OPERA by the Jean Cocteau Rep. I saw this production last summer and it's well worth the trip to the Bowery. Great small theatre, live singing (NO SYNCHING) and NO, repeat, NO BODY MIKES!
This is the Brecht-Weill production,
Translated by Mar Blitzstein
This is the translation which opened nearly 50 years ago at the Theatre de Lys and played for over 2100 performances (that's nearly 5 years folks).
Here is what I found on their website.
