Sat in the dead last row of the mezz and loved each and every moment. I know there are many mixed opinions of this show but I'm a fan. I thought the casting was inspired and the raunchiness was not overdone. It was paced very well. Loved all the dark strangeness of the piece. Each actor was better than the last and had their own moment where they really shined. Not for the timid, definitely more for the adventurous theatergoer.

I stagedoored this one and met Jim Dale, Nellie McKay, Ana Gasteyer, Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming. Took an hour and half for them all to come out but was worth the wait. They were all very kind and gracious.

Feathah - Yessssss! The raunchiness and provacativeness aren't OMGINCREDIBLY so! They're perfect within the realm of the show..I mean, if puppets can have sex on stage over at Q, what's so bad about Threepenny? I guess it's alright for the Q cast to express their raunchiness through handpuppets rather than have actors do basically the same thing.
Glad you loved it! And gee, were the seats good? Seems like everything was fine from where you were! Wow :)

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Cyndi's Soloman Song was incredible. It was the highlight of the entire show for me. She had the audience - which seemed bored, confused and even offended at times - in the palm of her hand. I just loved how they reimagined every aspect of the work.

And yes - the "cheap" seats were great. I sat up there for Cabaret a few times. The place is relatively small so it's really not that high up or far away. And the people two rows ahead of me at $85 a pop definitely didn't see any better than we did at $35.

Feathah-

Glad you loved the show!

Just curious, was there any sign or talk of a cast recording? I'm hoping the cast may have reason to believe they might be going into the studio. This production has to get an album.

Glad to hear those seats were good. I'm sitting there in a few weeks! Can't wait!
