I'm listening to the PS Classics studio cast recording of "Through The Years", Vincent Youmans' final score for Broadway. It is a beautiful recording of a brilliant and haunting musical. The cast includes Heidi Grant Murphy, Brent Barrett, Hunter Foster, and Jennifer Cody. It's hard to believe that there was once a time when Mr. Youmans was the most famous composer on Broadway, esp. since he is all but forgotten by the younger generation. He was a true genius, and without him there would be no Sondheim or Jason Robert Brown or Bill Finn. Has anybody heard this? Post reviews, comments, criticism, praise, whatever.

This is on my Amazon.com wishlist and has been for a long time. I may have to finally get it the next time I buy cast recordings.

I bought it just for Hunter Foster. *blushes* But I actually like it a lot too! Kinda Like You is an adorable piece... The score is beautiful.
