They should be a laugh & a half

Than again, at the rate things are going, if may be 5 years before it borders on Bizarro world type prices. Any guess what Spiderman tickets will go for?

From now on , in theater lobbies, will be a bank representative to loan you the money to see a show.

It looks like we will be enjoying everything else the city has to offer & less & less theater. Oh well, all good things eventually end

Ten years from now you'll have to sell one of the organs you have two of to see a show.

For balcony, they'll accept a mere two pints of blood, or foot-long strip of skin from a fleshier part of your body. Student rush will go for a sperm/egg donation. Lucky them!

Of course, the Roundabout 'Merchant Of Venice' revival in 2017 will have special discount prices; a pound of flesh for every seat. ;D

In 1997, a friend paid $75 (top dollar) to see "The Life" and "Titanic."

In 2007, I have paid $115 to see "Talk Radio" "A Chorus Line," and "Inherit The Wind."

Would you happen to know how that compares to prices rising in the past?

I don't know if I even want to think about that.

Top price in the late 80s was around $45 (I don't know specifics).

So...roughly a $30 increase every decade.

Uh oh.

But if the market crashes in between now and then...it may be looking up! (As best as it can during a depression!)

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

Right. A friend told me that Cats was at $40 in 1984.

So, it was +$35 over a 13 year period.

Now we have almost +$35-$40 in a ten year period.

I'd bet in ten years (2017) tickets will be $175 at least. Anyone else?

Please, I don't want to think about this...

"I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster. "Say 'Goody.' Say 'Bubbi.'" ... "That's it. Exactly as if it were 'Goody.' Now I know you're gonna sing 'Goody' this time, but nevertheless..."
