Ticketmaster Question
#1Ticketmaster Question
Posted: 7/23/08 at 7:09pmRandom question... Short of calling them, is there a way of ordering tickets for more than one day/preformance in one transaction? Or do you have to do them all separately?

Posted: 7/23/08 at 7:14pmhello. i wont try and purchase them meaning both performances online. just call them up and speak to a person, who can purchase both performances on the same day.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 7:26pmThat's what I figured. Trying to save myself from that special circle of hades. I may see on Saturday how things are going seating-wise for the tickets I want and decide to either buy them or wait until I can get to the venue.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 7:45pmI'm not sure if I understand your question, but I'm pretty sure you can order tickets for more than one show and/or time in one call. What difference does it make if it is in one transaction or separately? They might do it separately, but they'll probably have your credit card information from the previous transaction carry over.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 7:48pmI'd prefer it in one transaction if that cuts down the service fee. It just seems like it's not really possible online because of the tickets held for 2 minutes thing. But I could be wrong.

If it's a question of trying to save multiple sets of Ticketmaster fees (?), wouldn't they charge you multiple sets of fees over the phone too anyway, since one show/date = one transaction, and each 'transaction' needs its own fees?
(Now I'm legit curious about this.)

Yes, of course they're going to charge you as much as they possibly can.
Ticketing agents aren't about saving you money. They're about getting money from you. Never expect them to do you any favors.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 8:06pmThere's no way of combining transactions on the Ticketmaster system. Each show has to be done seperately. It's kinda lame.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 8:08pmThanks. I'll probably check on Saturday and see where tickets are. If they're not bad, I may hold off until I'm at the theatre and get them there.

Posted: 7/23/08 at 11:19pmAs a side note, I NEVER do Ticketmaster online. They only offer one option for "best seats" available. Pick up the phone and start talking with an agent and I always find BETTER seats for that same performance. They need a better system like Telecharge that lets you search for other seats for the same performance.
