Ticketmaster Resale Observation

I am trying to get rid of an extra ticket for Waitress tonight (PM if interested) and I just want to get some of my money back. I decided to put it on Ticketmaster resale and they actually forced me into a minimum price. I paid $147 before fees and wanted to get like $100 for it to try to move it quickly. You have to input how much you want to receive and the system had a minimum of $129! It ended up listing at $171 once the TM fees were added.

Yeah, ticketmaster doesn't allow you to drop the price below a certain number. It's unfair.

Usually, they keep the bottom number close to the face value of the ticket.

They pull the same nonsense with my Knicks season tickets.

Stubhub and other sites are much better when needing to dump something cheap at the last minute.

I agree that StubHub would be better but this is a paper ticket (silly me) and it's for tonight and I can't get it to the buyer.

I hear you.

Sorry about the situation.

Stubhub does have a Last Minute Services center, believe it's on 40th street where you could drop the ticket off and list it for whatever you like.

Good luck selling the ticket and enjoy the show tonight. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

Thank you! I may be able to sell the ticket outside the theatre too.

I actually saw the first preview so I'm looking forward to seeing what changes they have made. I got these tickets a long time ago to bring my sister but she can't make it.

That is probably a decision by the producers when they set up their Ticketmaster settings. I doubt Ticketmaster would care, since it is all just additional revenue for them.
