Anyone have any info about this CD? I was in Tower records yesterday and they were playing it, and there was a really beautiful song which I believe was sung by Liz Callaway...is this CD worth owning?
Opinions, anyone?

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

All I can tell you is that in 1995 (around that timeframe) Dodsworth was staged at Casa Manana in Texas and had Dee Hoty and Hal Linden in it. That's the reason I ordered the CD...Stephen Cole is the composer of Dodsworth (I think he renamed it "Continental Divide" somewhere along the way)and I keep waiting to hear that it's being staged in New York. I don't think Hoty or Linden are on the CD, unfortunatley.

I'm a big fan of the play, book and 1936 movie Dodsworth. It centers on the story of an auto magnate guy in his 50's that is retiring after years of work. He and his wife are going to Europe to kick of retirement and they realize they no longer agree on anything. His wife is a snobby, I'm not getting old type of women who has affairs and the like during the trip. He falls in love with an American living in Italy, but feels conected to his bitch wife still. I won't tell you the ending, in case it ever does make it to New York. It's essentially a story of growing older, dealing with change, and learning to live for one's self.

I don't know much about Time after Time though...sorry.

I've been lusting for this CD for a while. I hope I get it for my birthday...

Time After Time is - forgive me if I get this wrong - about H.G. Wells. He's brought by time machine to current day, and he has to track down Jack the Ripper. Sounds cheesey, but I've heard it's good. Christian Borle played H.G. Wells in a reading in 2004, he's on the CD as well.
