what an appalling contest -- apparently musicals were invented in 1980. and where the f*ck is ragtime?????

i tried three times to post a comment on the TONY website, and either: (a) im a moron; (b) microsoft's latest .NET patch is still causing problems; and/or, (c) their website technology is as limited as their understanding of broadway musicals.

New York's cover this week is "This is New York, 1968-2008". They weren't listing the best musicals, they were listing the musicals that are definitively "New York".

How are EVITA, SWEENEY, SITPWG, DREAMGIRLS, LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, THE LION KING, LES MIS, PHANTOM, WICKED and HAIRSPRAY definitely 'New York'?
