Title of Show Cast Album

AM I the only one who thinks the cast recording is terrible?

I got to see the show twice and loved it both times, but I think the songs just don't work in a recording.

I've never listened to the whole cast album, just heard a few songs played on SIRIUS, but I enjoyed the songs that I did hear.
"Everytime you step on that stage it is somebody's first Broadway show and somebody's last Broadway show. Make it count."

I think the recording works better if you have seen the show. I listened before I saw the show and it was an okay recording; after I saw it, I understood the flow of the songs much better. Not many of them truly stand outside of the show, expect perhaps "A Way Back to Then" or "Nine People's Favorite Thing."

Still, love that show and miss it...

I didn't get to see the show, but I enjoy the recording very much.

re: Title of Show Cast Album

I really like the recording, though nothing can quite capture the [tos] experience like the live show. The only thing I disliked was the (slight) differences between the album and the Broadway show (like the Wicked reference, some lyric changes, etc.).
