Hey Craig...

You certainly had a busy morning, running around making sure that all of the message boards had a statement from you that Kerry's casting in Little Shop is NOT official, didn't you? Why do you have to get involved in the first place? Are you her agent or a fan-turned-website-designer? Do you really think that she's going to turn down the chance of a lifetime like that, even if the producers are making such a measly offer?

Craig is her webmaster.

And irregardless, the report that she signed is innaccurate. It doesn't matter if she will sign or won't sign. The article was wrong.

Which article are you referring to?

I just re-read. Where does it say she signed?

The article essentially says that she is set to play the role, like it is a sure thing when it isn't.

It IS a sure thing. I heard it last week, way before Broadway.com found out. Just because she hasn't signed the papers doesn't mean it's not going to happen. I just want to know what any of it has to do with Craig. Want to make a bet about it being a sure thing?

Regardless, it's inaccurate of you to say that the story says she signed. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I'm right.

There is no such thing as a sure thing untill that paper is signed. Even if she intends to do it, I know from experiece that stuff can happen between being offered a role and signing that paper, so it isn't 'sure'.

yes, you are ridiculously nitpicking.

To get back to my initial point, why did Craig have to get involved? Because he's her webmistress? As her webmistress, which vital information did he have to add to the dialogue? Oh, that she hasn't ACTUALLY SIGNED yet? But since you and I and Craig all know that Kerry WILL be playing Audrey come October (despite your first-hand experience in these matters), what was the point of bringing that up?

Oh, that's right. Craig had to ensure his position as Kerry Butler's Number One Fan (or Webmaster, as you like to call it). Heaven forbid we find out something about Kerry from someone other than Craig!

Duane -

Not sure what your "beef" is. But has it occurred to you that I was ASKED to post the information I posted on the various sites? Clearly that thought never entered into your mind.

Am I Kerry's webmaster - yes

Am I Kerry's Public Relations person - no, not technically, but in a matter of speaking on many issues, I have and continue to be ONE of her representatives. I'm sorry you have issue with that.

Am I a fan of Kerry's work - of course - her #1 fan.. doubtfully

As for Kerry and Little Shop of Horrors - as people have already said - it is a deal that has NOT been signed nor is it official. Is it likely - probably. But until the deal is struck, anything could happen. The article on Broadway.com (semantics aside) for the typical reader "reports" that she WILL be Audrey. A better wording might have been "is the front runner" - or "is likely to be..", not as they have it "has been tapped".

Personally, I don't care who breaks the story - Broadway.com, Playbill.com, ATC or whatever. In fact, usually her site is one of the LAST places you will find a breaking story because of that very reason. Until something is signed, sealed and delivered, it doesn't go up on her official site.

not sure if it's helpful, but experience tells us even after signing, casting can change. Until opening night, it may all be semantics anyway.

Not fer nuthin', but I'm "set" to play the role of Max Bialystock. I keep showing up at the St. James, but they keep telling me to either buy a ticket or go home.

And a right-fine Max Bialystock you'd be there Bill. Would your man servant be LEO? And would Hell's Kitchen Kate be Ula?
