Quick question for frequent TodayTix users:

When is the typical cutoff time for a (Broadway) show to halt sales for an upcoming performance? Further, if I wanted to purchase tickets for a Wednesday matinee tomorrow… when is the latest I could purchase those? Tonight? Tomorrow morning sometime? Tomorrow afternoon? It's a confusing question, so if it needs more explaining please let me know. Thanks!

I don't think there is a specific cut-off. I think it's just whenever they run out of their allotment of tickets. I've noticed there are lots of shows which don't actually have tickets available on the day-of. Depending on how popular this particular show is, I'd say buy now and don't wait until tomorrow.

I think the obvious cutoff would have to be before the TodayTix representative is in front of the theatre (half hour before curtain). To be safe, I typically purchase tickets through TodayTix no later than an hour and a half before curtain. I know that individual theatres cutoff online advance sales one hour before curtain for that performance.

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage."
