Oh gee, oh gosh, oh golly - where have all the BKLYN naysayers and "Eden screeches" posters gone to now? Where is Matt_G, joeyjoe, hotinnyc2 and Lady Guenevere when you need them? There is a great big wonderful article on Eden on the front page of the NY Times theater section - and I don't see any trashing going here...What's the matter - like George W Bush don't you all read the paper - or are just, finally, shut up? Come on now, don't be bullied by the Big Bad Times who clearly are shilled and bought off and Lord knows what else. Where's your fighting spirit? Bring it on...

Anyway, I'm not the least bit "down," but thanks for your concern. Ustadance's belligerence is more funny than disheartening. And the reason the anti-Brooklyn contingent hasn't come here is because they're probably not interested. Or maybe they've never heard of a news source called the "NT Times."

If Ustadance is so frustrated with negativity, he or she really shouldn't be launching into tirades at the drop of a hat.

I would not take things personally had I not been attacked... and all for posting a review that did not suit Usta's needs. And I was accused of being paid to dis the show !!!

You tell me that you would not take it personally. As far as negativity.. there are plenty of positives on the board too. The boards are not about positive OR negative. They are about being able to voice an opinion. If you dont agree with my opinion, so be it. But to attack me for it, and try to back up your point by making up stories is immature. Usta was obviously looking for a legion of fans to back him/her, but it didnt happen because everyone else saw my review for what it was: honest.

Let's see...hmm...the original post stays untouched all day long, then I mention that all the usual suspects have nothing to say - and SHAZAM! within five minutes here you all are!!! I think I'll rest my case.

I do have to agree with Ustadance on this one. Why is it always the same 7 people who attack shows? It does seem to be odd that the same cast of characters always chime in.

What do you mean by attacking shows? Look at my post history- you'll find I'm a big-time advocate of lots of shows, from old classics to Sondheim to Caroline, or Change.

And I really don't think I attacked Brooklyn so much as I attacked its marketing strategy of "send 11 sock puppets to BWW to harrass people and constantly start Brooklyn threads." I also probably said that I didn't really like the songs on the sample CD. I didn't. So what exactly is wrong with stating that opinion?

I don't go around spewing bile about shows, and neither do Matt_G, redhottinny, joeyjoe, or LadyGuenevere. They may bash individual shows- and maybe they bashed Brooklyn- but they aren't exactly a gang of catty theater queens just waiting for shows to open so they can trash them.

Do your research before you accuse people of that. And if you want to see a few people who never have anything nice to say about a show, go to ATC.
