Todd Almond’s I’m Almost There

New York premier at the Minetta Lane Theatre, 8 performances only September 26 to October 5.  This musical was originally commissioned by Audible. Written and performed by Almond, this got a LOT of buzz at the Edinburgh Fringe Feetival.  I heard it’s about a guy trying to get down from his apartment to meet a guy he wants to hook up with.  On the way down he meets lots of different neighbors and vampires and people involved with pyramid schemes like a contemporary Greek odyssey. He enters the underworld which is where he does his laundry. Fabulous!!
