I've been a supporter of The Actors' Fund for a while. Now that 1 of my dearest friends is a resident there, I'm even more active in my support. None of us performers know when we'll need the help of the Fund, but they always seem to be there for us.
I thought it important to note the passing of Tom Dillon, who, as you'll see from the linked article, was president of TAF from 1989-2004 and as such "presided over many activities designed to care for entertainment professionals in need. He was heavily involved in the day-to-day care of almost 14,000 people annually." Lord knows all the things he had to do to keep this invaluable organization thriving, but I for 1 am certainly grateful.
I'd also like to note that Mr. Dillon had a very long & interesting performance career which is described well in the article.
RIP and thank you.
Milla
