Tommy Tune as the Master of Ceremonies in CABARET

I just posted a major update to the "Memories of Melody Top" website!

The pictures are amazing, and I know you will enjoy seeing Tommy Tune and Elaine Cancilla in CABARET; Jaye P. Morgan in FUNNY GIRL; Michael Callan in GEORGE M!; Margaret Whiting in GYPSY; Earl Wrightson and Lois Hunt in KISS ME, KATE; Arte Johnson and Karen Morrow in LITTLE ME; Kaye Stevens in MAME; Jane Powell in MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS; Barry Williams in PIPPIN; Orson Bean in SUGAR; and James Darren in WEST SIDE STORY. I also posted four images (in beautiful color) on the "News Links" page: GIGI, FINIAN’S RAINBOW and Jo Anne Worley in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS.

Zale Kessler, who you may recognize from his Broadway, television and movie appearances, wrote a very funny essay about working in Milwaukee. I posted the tale on the "Seeing Stars" page, and I hope you take a few minutes to read his recollections of SILK STOCKINGS, FINIAN’S RAINBOW and dining at a local Italian restaurant. Zale sent me his current headshot, and I posted it with the story.

Terrific additions to the site, including so many well known Broadway, TV, and movie performers! My favorite photo is the one of Jo Anne Worley on top of that huge bed in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. I remember how funny she was in that show. Zale Kessler was excellent in all his roles at Milwaukee Melody Top, and his stories on the website are wonderful! He has worked on Broadway and all over the country and is one of those dependable, always entertaining performers. He looks great in the current headshot!

For those of you who don't know Zale Kessler, he appeared in the Broadway productions of DEAR WORLD, GANTRY and DARLING OF THE DAY. He also performed with Merman in a stock mounting of CALL ME MADAM, and a brief tour of GYPSY with Betty Hutton. You can also catch a glimpse of him in the original movie of THE PRODUCERS in the audition scene as Jason Green ("Have You Ever Heard the German Band?"). Check it out on YouTube.com!
