It was a wonderful evening filled w/lots of different types & styles of music ranging from GAS, Jazz, Blues, Broadway, Brazilian, Mexican & Italian. Here are some of the performers:
Liza Minelli - "This Moment" (Yes, kid's. Liza's back!); Eric Comstock - "Old Devil Moon"; Joyce Breach - Berlin ballad that for the life of me I can't think of the name; Natalie Douglas - "At Last"; Ruben Flores - "Besame Mucho"; Audrey Lavine (acc'd by Mark Hartman on piano) - "I Got A Right To Sing The Blues"; Billy Stritch; Jim Caruso; Lionel Casseroux, Alexandra Kraus; and I sang "Non ti scordar di me" accompanied by Matthew Ward. I should note that David Raleigh played up a storm on the piano & Steve Doyle added his terrific bass to the festivities.
I had the chance to meet David Zippel & tell him how much I love "With Every Breath I Take".
What a fun evening in comfy surroundings. Hope you'll take a gander at the Cast Party website.

Liza, really? How did she sound? Did she mention the ex? I am happy to hear she has not let this fiasco of a marriage bring her down. I hope you were not joking.
No joking, Liza was there & in great form. Billy Stritch, who plays for Liza had left before she sang, so she sang John Wallowitch's "This Moment" unaccompanied. She looked & sounded in fine fettle.

I'm reminded that Jonathan Dokuchitz, Daisy Prince, Sandy Chaplin, Brooks Ashmanskus, Amanda Green, Jennifer Smith, Marty Bell, Harvey Evans, Billy Porter & Fred Barton were partying there last night, too.

thats awesome, was liza even scheduled to sing?
Not that I know of, but I wonder how she could be some place like The Cast Party & not feel the urge. It truly is an electric atmosphere.
The dir. of my show DO RE MILLA, Margery Beddow knows Liza because they've worked together, take dance classes together & knew ea. other thru Bob Fosse & Gwen Verdon. Marge was Fosse's assistant, & danced in several of his shows & wrote BOB FOSSE'S BROADWAY. Liza came to say hello to Marge & I bet everyone at the table wanted to jump out of their seats.
When I finished singing, Liza was very gracious to me, told me how great I sounded, gave me a kiss & then got up & sang! I just about fell down on the floor.
After my show at Dillon's next Mon., I'll be celebrating at The Cast Party, so come on down! If you'd like to go to my website for more info on my show, please click on my link.
Thanks,
