While I was away this summer, my mother decided to clean my apartment up for me and she misplaced my tape from the last Tony awards. Can someone PM me if they would be willing to make me a copy? Thanks so much.
Because I foolishly did not tape it, I can't really help you. But if you go to www.hughjackman.cjb.net, you can download all the clips from the show involving Hugh, including of course his opening monologue as well as his rendition of 'New York New York'... as opposed to 'The Theme From New York, New York', which was the Sinatra song (which I'd really hoped he'd sing though he did a stellar job with what he did). Not everyone was crazy about Hugh's version but I loved it. Plus you can hear about 5 seconds of 'Oh What A Beautiful Morning', which he was obviously singing to the audience to keep them entertained.
Plus, it also has him singing 'Music of the Night' from POTO which is great and shows Hugh singing a sustained high A (and a really good one at that).
Sorry for the rambling.
