Branching off from the thread about hosts for the 2006 Awards....does anyone know where I could find a list of everyone who's hosted the awards? TonyAwards.com doesn't seem to have anything. To save this thread from continual bumps, just PM me a link or something. Thanks!

If you go to imdb.com (yes the Internet MOVIE DataBase, which also includes television), you can type in "Tony Awards" in the search, and it will give you a list of the ceremonies that were televised. You can get all the TV hosts from there.

These are (unfortunately) only the ones that were on TV, but at least it's a start!

I think there should be an easier way to find this out. Like over at IBDB they should have a page for each years tony awards, including hosts. Or they could have it set up like how IMDB has the awards, setup.

need to defrag my brain.

If you ask me, the IBDB needs some serious help. Granted, it's come a long way since it started, but it's still very far behind in its data. At least their search engine is better now. But MANY older shows and casts are incomplete or just not listed at all. And the criteria for submitting information is ridiculously mired in red tape. I have lots of info I would like to give them (based on old Playbills, my own relatives and old friends who have performed on Broadway, etc.), but I won't go through their insane process to do that. Faxing them proof, etc. Let THEM hire a fact-checker! They should go through some of the trouble, since it's their site.

But I agree that this is the site that should feature info on the awards ceremonies. (Hosts, performers and presenters... whether televised or not.)
