So sad to hear about her passing. The link goes to an interview conducted by David Levy with a couple of pictures and a listing of her recordings.

Yes, I will miss Dorothy Louden, however, she hadn't done much in the past few years. I guess she'd been ill.

Posted: 11/15/03 at 8:20pmJust heard the news and am terribly sad. I adored her so much - we did three albums together in recent years and, in fact, she was supposed to appear on the album I produced last June, and she cancelled just two weeks before the sessions because she wasn't feeling well enough. She was a wonderful person, as talented as they come, and warm and funny and a delight to be around. She'll be missed.

This has not been a good year. We're losing our treasures right and left.
Very sad news.
My sincere condolences to both her family and friends.

Posted: 11/15/03 at 9:13pmI think the last thing she did was the Roundabout show - was it Dinner at Eight? She had to pull out during previews because of her health.

Posted: 11/16/03 at 12:56amAll too sad. The original and best ever Miss Hannigan. No one else has even come close to Dorothy Loudon. May she rest in peace.

Broadway has lost a wonderful talent.
I first saw Dorothy Loudon in the national company of LUV. She was wonderful.
Her Miss Hannigan in ANNIE was a comic masterpiece.
When it was announced that she and George Hearn would replace Angela Lansbury and Len Cariou in SWEENEY TODD I wondered if she could pull it off. She did. Brilliantly.

But she hadn't been in anything for quite a while before she was announced for DINNER AT EIGHT.

Posted: 11/16/03 at 3:10pmI think Loudon's last stage appearances were the Leading Ladies concert and OVER & OVER at Signature in Virginia. She was in fine form in OVER & OVER. That was in 1999.
