If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Just heard the news and am terribly sad. I adored her so much - we did three albums together in recent years and, in fact, she was supposed to appear on the album I produced last June, and she cancelled just two weeks before the sessions because she wasn't feeling well enough. She was a wonderful person, as talented as they come, and warm and funny and a delight to be around. She'll be missed.
Broadway has lost a wonderful talent. I first saw Dorothy Loudon in the national company of LUV. She was wonderful. Her Miss Hannigan in ANNIE was a comic masterpiece. When it was announced that she and George Hearn would replace Angela Lansbury and Len Cariou in SWEENEY TODD I wondered if she could pull it off. She did. Brilliantly.

TRACY: It must be the low-watt institutional lighting!
I think Loudon's last stage appearances were the Leading Ladies concert and OVER & OVER at Signature in Virginia. She was in fine form in OVER & OVER. That was in 1999.
