HEY EVERYBODY!!!
JUST A QUICK NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I’LL BE PERFORMING “GARY COLEMAN” IN AVENUE Q FOR 1 WEEK ON BROADWAY COMING UP JANUARY 15 – JANUARY 20!!! YES IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE THE VEGAS COMPANY OF Q CLOSED AND I KNOW I HAVEN’T SEEN A LOT OF YOU IN A LOOONNGGGG TIME SO THIS IS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY. I WILL BE IN THE CITY SO COME AND SEE THE SHOW IF YOU CAN! HERE ARE THE DATES AND SHOW TIMES:

THURSDAY 1/15/09: 8PM
FRIDAY 1/16/09: 8PM
SATURDAY 1/17/09: 2PM & 8PM

She was a lovely Rafiki in Lion King, but an absolutely dreadful Sarah in Ragtime.

I imagine she'd be quite good in Avenue Q.

She made an AMAZING Aida... I heart her mucho

From what I remember, she was a pretty good Gary Coleman. And for those who don't know, she's married to Rick Lyon, so she's still close to the material after two years...

One of the better Joannes in RENT, indeed. She was also a pretty perfect Lorrell in the 90s DREAMGIRLS tour.

Rent, Aida, Dreamgirls, Lion King, Avenue Q, Les Miz, Ragtime. What has Tonya Dixon NOT done??

That said, I do not understand all the hype- her Joanne in RENT was boring, her Fantine (recordings only) was underwhelming. I cant imagine her being able to sing Aida or "Circle of Life" at all...

but she is a GREAT Gary Coleman so you should all def check her out!

Tonya was an amazing Joanne and Fantine. I wish I could be there to see her as Gary Coleman.

I saw her first performance as Fantine and her next-to-last performance as Fantine, and as Joanne. Loved her as Fantine; liked her Joanne. Not a fan of Ave Q but wish I could be there!
