I'm surprised that Wicked made it on so many people's lists. It was a totaly bastardized version of Defying Gravity with Idina being totally off.

Here she is, co-nominated for best actress in a musical and she barely even sings in her show's performance number. Is "Defying Gravity" a crowd pleaser? Yes. Was the fact that it was chosen for the Tonys a definite foreshadowing of Idina's win? Hell yes. But "For Good" or even "What is This Feeling?" would've been a better showcase of both women's performances.

Thank you Enjolras77, you beat me to it.
Nothing beats Brian Stokes Mitchell singing The Impossible Dream. It is totally amazing.
I found a friend who had VHS tapes and made my own DVD of Tony performances from 2001-2005. It is definately the highlight.
