Hey everyone, I'm looking for everyone's opinion of about 4 shows to see that are on Broadway now, or will be in the near future. I KNOW that one of the definite shows is JERSEY BOYS!!! What else do you guys think?
ok, don't yell, i'm looking at the other thread right now and see what you guys think there

are you asking us what shows you should see, or what shows we think are the top 4 on broadway?
well, i'm wondering what you guys think i should see and by what you think are the top 4 i can then try to come up with something. But, like i said i'm also looking at the other thread right now

oh okay, well, ill just post mine here
depends on when you go to NYC, but if you go before the end of the year, i say
HAIRSPRAY
THE WEDDING SINGER
A CHORUS LINE
(and if you haven't seen either of them) WICKED or RENT
yeah, hope that helps :)
ok, thanks, i'm assuming it'll be after the new year, but i was also thinking of A Chorus Line, thanks!
All the shows I listed will def still be there well after New Years.

Butley
Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me
A Chorus Line
The Grinch
Only that I have seen:
The Coast of Utopia: Voyage
A Chorus Line
Jersey Boys
The Drowsy Chaperone
That I have not seen, but think will be fantastic:
Grey Gardens
Company
Of the new stuff, I can only give an informed recommendation for Company, but I do so very, VERY highly. It had better be there after the beginning of the year. :)

So, Em. What do you think of Company? Any good? Is that lead guy - Raul Esperanza any good?
Actually, no, he sucks and he's super-ugly.
No offense to anyone, but I never understand these threads.
If ten given people I know asked me which 4 Broadway shows they should see, I would give a completely different list to each person.
this is just my personal opinion, what i would see if i were coming to NYC...
a chorus line
mary poppins
hairspray
the color purple
The Phantom of the Opera
Wicked
The Drowsy Chaperone
Spamalot

1. Wicked
2. The Drowsy Chaperone
3. Jersey Boys
4. Rent/The Phantom of the Opera
Only 4? That is impossible.
I have a top twenty.
1. If you are over 14 Avenue Q.
2. If you love theater and have seen a lot of theater: Forbidden Broadway.
3. Jay Johnson The Two and Only. It is not a big show but it is touching and one of the most heartwarming shows on Broadway today.
4. A Chorus Line- Great dancing. One of the greatest shows ever written. A MUST SEE!
5. Grey Gardens- Christine Ebersole gives the performance of a lifetime.
6. Martin Short- It is very funny. Marc Shaiman stole the show with his heiny moment.
7. Southern Comforts- If you can get here this week, I would see it. Wonderful play at 59 East 59 theater.
8. Jersey Boys- Great cast and entertaining. A feel good musical that will make you want to dance all over your house for years later.
I could go on for days.
Hope you have fun.(Some of my choices appear Off Broadway)
