Did anyone catch last night's show? Betty puts pieces of carmelized ginger and nuts on her creme brulee sugar topping. When the torch is applied they burn up and have to be removed. The judges find the egg custard to resemble pumpkin pie filling. I think it was petty for Betty to blame Marcel for her failure tonight, when he was just trying to help her torch the tops.

Wasn't this the dish Dave prepared last season?

Betty's like "Well ya did" quip was so...witchy! As if we needed anything to make us hate her more.
So is it safe to say by tonight's preview that either Cliff or Ilan will be booted?
I hate that I'm addicted to this show, but I am.
Go Elia!
OK, two episodes down and so far, I'm really liking this season. The only one I can't stand is Joey. Hung is all attitude, but he seems to have the talent to back it up. Brian is pretty hit or miss but he has that crazy chef thing, ala Dave going on.
I'm pretty neutral on the rest of the contestants so far.

All caught up.
Joey is a dick. I hope he goes home soon!
What was with the vanilla butter poached lobster? I love vanilla and God knows I can eat lobster every day of my life, but the two don't seem to go together! Has anyone tried this? Am I wrong?

Anyone watch last night? How delicious did that peach cobbler ice cream look?! How hot was that guest judge?
I'm getting really tired of Howie.
