my friend worked on this show. and finding nemo. I laughed at both, although, nemo is cute.
I always thought of this coming to Broadway but if it comes like this i would be disapointed. Im not sure sure but i thoguht it could work on stage but....... i guess not.
Omigosh people, it's a cruise ship production. Have you ever seen the entertainment on cruises? It's awful. That's why you spend 50% of a cruise at the bar drunk and the other 50% by the pool drunk.
"It's not necessarily that opinions have changed....but seeing how few responses were even posted -- not too many cared two years ago, either."
That's true, but there ARE new people on the site who might be interested. Ya never know. :)
I think certain theme park/cruise shows (especially from a brand like Disney) totally have the right to be on the Broadway board. Because, they're written by Broadway composers, they star Broadway actors from time to time and that's like saying that tours shouldn't be discussed on this board, just because they aren't ON Broadway.
Finding Nemo: The Musical, is honestly one of my favorite musicals of all time. Not No. 1, of course, but I love it. The score is so fun and catchy and the show is top notch with GREAT acting and vision. No, it shouldn't go to Broadway, but it's fantastic for what it's supposed to be.
This show, however, isn't AS good. It has good things and bad things, but for what it is, a kid's show written for a cruise ship, I think it's pretty enteraining and decent.
