Trackd in the App Store

I wasn't sure if this was on-topic or off-topic, but I decided it was on, as it can relate pretty closely to the writing and performing of theatre.

I'm a writer and sometimes composer, and when I'm working on a new song or a new show (as I'm sure many of you have experienced as well), the sending back and forth of Voice Memos from the phone is a big part of the modern process. This morning, the App Store for iPhone and iPad featured a currently-free app called Trackd, which is made to be a souped up replacement for Voice Memo, designed around collaborative artists. Using your built in microphone or a line-in device, you can record instantly and even mix and layer multiple tracks (Looks like you get four by default, but for $2 you can record up to eight tracks instead) within a recording. Then, you can send to Facebook, text, email, Dropbox, etc, but the special feature is this: you can swipe the track to any other Trackd users for them to add tracks or mix. Collaboration this way is much easier than it is with single Voice Memo recordings. 

I don't shill for things, but I'm currently hired to work on a new show and this is making my process so much easier. I figured I would share this for everyone else- whether they're a writer, or just someone who likes to sing and play. Who knows? Maybe this will open up some new collaborations for writing or performing even here on the board!
