I'm almost 16 and I'm an alto. In trying out for beauty and the beast. I want to be one of the silly girls or Madame la grande bouche (the wardrobe). Anyways, so I need a fun song that's sort of flirty and for an alto. Also it needs to be a similar style as beauty and the beast songs. Any help is very appreciated!!! Thanks :)

Lucky for you that you are an alto. Try Johnny One Note. And when you sing the song be a little annoyed or duty so that you have a fun character singing the song. I posted cool audition songs all the time on my audition blog as well. Www.bookthegig.wordpress.com

Flirty makes me think "I Enjoy Being a Girl" from Flower Drum Song or "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story but I think those are both soprano songs. There's also "I Cain't Say No" from Oklahoma but I think that might be mezzo. What range is "I Can Hear the Bells" from Hairspray in? "Gorgeous" from The Apple Tree? "How Can I Wait" or "All For Him" from Paint Your Wagon? "Lovely" from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is way too high but it would be cute if you want to be one of the triplets.
If you have to sing with accompaniment, I'd see if you could find someone to transpose the music for you beforehand.
