Given that several houses have been vacated and several new shows have found "homes" for the coming season, I'm guessing it wasn't a lack of a Broadway theater that postponed TUCK?
Does anyone know what the scoop is? It seems very odd. The official Twitter account hasn't said ANYTHING since the postponement was announced. The various videos of songs from the show were quickly yanked from online following the announcement. (Particularly sad because what I heard from the show was FANTASTIC.) This seems like it had so much potential and then not a word. Funding fell through? Poor material? Creative team differences?
Anybody got some insight?
Well, we don't know how many theatres were already committed privately-but-unannounced when TUCK was looking to book for their intended arrival, and unless I'm mistaken every house except the Marquis is publicly booked at the moment so it's possible they legitimately were unable to find a theatre. But I have heard nothing about the show or it's plans so I can't speak anything but idle speculation.

"lack of theater availability in New York" translates to 'We didn't get all of the funding we needed.'
Any updates? I was looking forward to this and am a giant Carolee Carmello fan! Should we give up hope of it happening?
There aren't any spaces left on Broadway for it to fill. Honeymoon in Vegas is gonna have to wait a while too because of it.

Wont this end up like Big Fish? A movie that nobody saw, that should most likely never been turned in to a musical!

Actually, a friend of mine was cast in the Broadway mounting of Tuck. It wasn't because they couldn't get ANY theater space, it was because the production team wanted a SPECIFIC house and couldn't get it. Last I heard, the cast was all released from their contracts and the show was put on hold until that specific house became available.
The world premiere is on its way!
