Twist The Musical

Hey there. I have a question for you all. Has anyone ever heard of the musical Twist? It was headed to Broadway in 1993 and made its world premiere at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, PA. Apparently it is a black version of Oliver Twist. It stared Andrea McArdle, Ron Richardson, Gregg Burge, and Tahj Mowery. I am an apprentice at the theatre and just stumbled across the info and playbill on this show. I checked IBDB and didn't find anything about the show. So, I am assuming that it never made it to Broadway. Anyone happen to see the show in Philadelphia? Anyone know anything about it? Thanks!

Yes it is interesting. From the information I can find here at the theatre...the Oliver in this show has a white mother and black father. This is where Andrea McArdle comes into play. The show takes place in New Orleans during the 20's. I am still looking around here trying to find out more info. If anyone has any, please share.
