Two Godspell Questions

Hi all,

I have two questions regarding Godspell...for those who would know.

1. Did anyone see the 2000 Off-Broadway production with Barret Foa? If so, how was the crucifixtion done? I believe Judas sang "On the Willows" as well, how did that work?

2. Who is a famous Godspell alumni. I know Victor Garber, Eugene Levi, Gilda Radner, Martin Short (all from Toronto) and Madonna. Any others?

I saw the 2000 Off-broadway production, and I think the crucifixion was just done against the fence, and then he was carried out. I don't remember it too well, because I just don't like the ending, but overall it was THE most electrifying theatrical experience I have ever had.

Andrea Martin was also in the Toronto company. Paul Shaffer (David Letterman's bandleader)was the musical director/keyboard player, and also did the film.

Richard Gilliland ( who played Annie Potts' ex-hubby on Designing Women but is really married to Jean Smart) played Jesus in the original Chicago company.

And of course, Sonya Manzano ("Turn Back O Man" in the original cast)has played "Maria" on Sesame Street for the past 30 years.

Dean Pitchford played Jesus Off-Broadway.
Donna Summer was in the German production.
Joe Mantegna was in the Chicago production.

I think Jennifer Lopez was in a production of the Spell
