Hi y'all. I have two questions that I really am needing answers to.
First off: The Rent tour. I live in sunny Las Vegas and am actually surprised (or just upset I suppose) that it isn't coming here, but I'd be happy to go to AZ or CA for it. I just am wondering, if I go to those dates (mid-March) when should I buy tickets? It seems pretty far away but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Second: After I read that Lin-Manuel Miranda is leaving In The Heights, I realized that I have to go out there to see the show again before he leaves. So if I were to go in late January/early February, what other shows (assumedly) will be playing? Basically I'm asking for suggestions of shows to see since I haven't been since July and already a large number of the shows I've seen (A Chorus Line, Xanadu, Rent, [tos], Legally Blonde) are closed/will be by the time I go. When is Hairspray closing again? I could be wrong, but aren't these three coinciding around the same time: Hairspray's end/at least the end of Harvey's return, ITH losing its originator, and Gypsy losing Patti and (I'm guessing) closing. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. Because that seems like such a powerhouse month to go and I can't see myself missing any of those things (I want to see ITH again, I swore to myself I would see Gypsy a third time before it closes, and I've always wanted to see Harvey in a show, especially Hairspray).
Okay I lied. I also have a third question. I've been listening to The Wedding Singer (also - Bare: A Pop Opera and WHOAH is that hitting me in the holy-crap-is-this-happening-spot) and am slightly confused about something. In Not That Kind Of Thing, since I can't really distinguish the voices that well, it seems like the two people who say they are brother and sister later on (in the same song) sing the part "And I wonder...", alluding to some kind of feelings for her? I am POSITIVE I'm just 100% wrong here, but I just don't know the show that well, so am confused. Hell, up until a week ago when a blog I was sooo sure that it would be the PERFECT high school show (I recently added a major in theater so I can teach it and direct shows) to do. Then I read about George and various other non-kosher items. Grrrr.
Anyway, the first two are what I really wonder about but feel free to help with number 3 if you're so inclined. Thanks!

Yes, Robbie and Julia both have feelings for each other. Rent the movie because it's pretty much the same story, only better.
Robbie and Julia say they are sister and brother because they are being silly and playing with the saleswoman. They're not actually brother and sister.
Hairspray closes January 18th (Harvey's run will end at the same time -- he is coming back to close the show), Lin-Manuel is leaving ITH sometime in February, and Patti is leaving Gypsy sometime in early March, possibly late February.
Equus also closes in February. If you can see it, go.

The saleswoman says that their marriage is going to make it and they deny that they're married, then say that they're brother and sister to explain why they're so close.
Thank you!! I was so certain that was Benanti's voice during the song, but I already knew the two main characters were Robbie and Julia, so I was like...brother and sister? What?! But that actually makes sense if they were just joking. Thanks!
