And yes, I believe that is Twyla's voice as the "priestess" in the HARE KRISHNA sequence.

And of course, the "Aquarius" choreography was lovingly recreated at the end of "40 Year Old Virgin"!

Yes that is Twyla and her voice performing the drug wedding.
I believe HAIR is Twyla's most brilliant work.

Me, too! It's a wonderful film. I think it is one of those rare cases where the film is actually better than the stage show (unlike "A Chorus Line").

My opinion.
I believe Deuce Coupe, Push Comes To Shove and HAIR are Twyla's best.

Twyla doesn't like it, and neither do I. Her dances are too punk-oriented, too attacking, for hippies to be doing. Julie Arenal's Broadway choreography was better, but she's a vicious shrew, regardless of how many lovely revivals of HAIR she does, so I don't see her getting the job for any major revival.

i agree the movement looks organic at at least, and so joyful. Here's hoping her Dylan project has a similar feel.

I think the movie of HAIR is fun, but absolutely nothing about it - the hair, the costumes, the orchestrations is 1968 period. For the most part, it looks like a movie set in 1978 when it was filmed; that goes for Twyla Tharp's choreography too. It's all very disco-fruzen-glaze.
